I do not think a 2009 "S" would cost 10000 more. she is asking 35K . A jump to 45K takes one almost to 2012 "R" model range !
As of right now i can not see much over 20K..It has a Lot of built in liabilities, IMS, resale someday, these issues will be a continuous detriment to value .
If the past is like the future the "R" will be the Holy Grail in about 10 years. Their price will be like a angry Volcano -ever more and higher.
I have learned a lot here - A 2009 looks better and better all the time. Seems like a no brainer .
A 2008 ( and older ) would have to be dirt cheap at this point..
BMW is mostly a great car, but just not interested.

Is it noisy ? Every convertible i have ever been in transcribes all noises magnificently to the cabin ! LOL
