Me thinks the "problem" may be ego related.
I think Grant, Tori and Kari, mostly Kari, had become more popular than Adam and Jamie.
Adam is at least fun and energetic, Jamie is just getting "old". No charisma or personality.
Kind of the way Pawn Stars will go, apparently Chumlee makes more money from being involved with the show than the rest of them do.
