A White TR 3 was the family's only car before I was born. My Dad used to rally it a bit and won a trophy, of sorts. He courted my Mom with the car then drove from the church to their honeymoon in it, traveling from Cape Cod from Albany. A few months later they zipped down to Alabama. It was a true family car. They only sold it because me, the 4th child, was born and they just needed more room. My two sisters and my brother used to cram behind the front seats in the car. All they had was a little shelf for the three of them to sit on. For many years my brother blamed me for the ditching of the Triumph. The replacement was not so bad, a 1965 Mustang. My Dad was the coolest.
