Clearly I touched a nerve. Consider my story an attempt at occupational humor rather than a diss at a noble profession. Yes, I know. The difference between a doctor and an auto. tech is that docs can work on a running engine. Techs don't and can't.
A broader one is how to frustrate an engineer. One way is to ask him/her to refold a large paper road map (remember those?).
