Cresent Beach Concours

This event is a couple miles from my place. A small, but an amazing event. Each year there is another group of invited participants - an eclectic group of vehicles. This year some great old motorcycles, 1930's and 1960's American, post war British, 1960's and 70's Italian, a few race cars, but very little German.

Crescent Beach Concours d'Elegance

Thought I would drop in for a quick look yesterday - before the crowds arrive and one can park within reasonable walking distance.

Tucked in the back corner was a beautiful Carrera RS. As I approached I could see she was in amazing condition.....one of those Q-Tip cars.

Original tires and spotless wheel wells....oh my, this will be a feast for the eyes. The rear deck was open.....Certainly need to have a look in there. Crap, the detail here was unbelievable. Wow, someone has done a mountain of work to make it look like new.

I circled around to look in the open passenger door. Just gorgeous!! All the detail was over the top. Little things like seat rails, gear shifter, hand brake and dash were like new. This guy has been busy restoring this one.

I could see the driver window was open and wanted to see the other side of the dash. The steering was in amazing condition and the gauges all looked so clean. Then I spotted the answer for the out of this world condition. Less than 500 kms on the car. WOW!!!

Must be stored in a bag of inert gas when it is not on display. Everything was so well preserved.

So - any guesses on value??

I'm going to say $1.2 million.
