When my 914-6 race car sat outside in the San Diego weather all year 'round, I used a California Car Cover (on Morena Blvd) which are some of the best made. Pretty much "everything proof" but the sun so to protect my investment I would buy a cheapo Pep Boys cover for $25 or so to absorb the sun and let it fall apart after about a year. I found I could roll them both up together so there was no extra effort required.
