Gunsmiths - Advise, please.
I'm refurbishing my SKS stock and found this crack.
What's the best way to seal/repair this so that the repair won't show after I stain and seal the stock?

I used a spanner to open the crack to show it better.

Also, is True Oil a good final coat on a stock?

Edit: Then again, I have boiled linseed oil and maybe I'll try the master's way.
