When I had animals, i.e. when I was married....the ex, fed them so much crap and treats, they got fat.

I changed them over to a veggie diet, fruits, and whatever was on sale at the supermarket. Threw in a couple of home grown avocado.....ran them at the beach three times a week. They loved it.
