If you want to buy parts with little to no personal interaction - buy with electronic forms and have it arrive at your place!
Stores and sales people are there to offfer...SERVICE!!!!
Consider most of the parts stores local to me, will take a computer out and check for codes the engine is giving and give you a print out...
Ultimately, you want two guys in the store, so when a line forms, one can check out those that know what they need, and the other can have those who need help wait.
