How to get a cars history?
Hello,
I found a car that I am interested in (77 Targa) but the current owner has little background other than his brother in law owned it for sometime and brought it from California to Canada a few years ago and the Engine was replaced with a 86 3.2L many years ago. The current owner is clearly not a car guy, but it appears to be in good shape inside and out
I have a VIN number (picture from the door) but when I tried to research on carfax it couldn't find the car because it is not a 14 digit number.
My question is how do I get the history on a 10 digit VIN number for a car that has been in the US and Canada
