If that's your definition of "wasted time", you need to stay far away from this hobby and only buy new or CPO cars for inflated prices at franchised dealerships. This "wasted time" is half the life of a dedicated car hunter. Some of us are so silly that we actually consider it fun.
This forum, (and the other ones), have always revealed to me how many people have no business trying to buy an old used Porsche. They are simply not equipped for it. And that is not to call you or anyone else a dummy or a rube, you could be a brain surgeon or some other extremely high value worker in society but not cut-out for buying old sports cars.

You sure read alot into my posts. Techweenie spent time chasing an auction car with a shill bidder. I would consider that a waste of time and he may not. Who cares. You certainly have no business suggesting who should try and buy old cars. I've bought more than a few over the last 20 years.
