Took a friend up flying last week in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, east of Seattle. He owns a twin engine Cessna -- sitting in back with flying helmet and goggles is slightly different from his usual ride.
Nice day. Good lift. Flew about 40 minutes with the engine off.
Close to cloud base gets cold, even on a hot day.
