FWIW, the tiles just lift off. The first row is typically the only ones nailed down. The layering of one over the other along with the ribs on the back side are what keep them in place. If you have the tiles that look like waves (one peak & one valley), make sure you step on the peak & not the valley to avoid cracking it. They get very slick when wet. Sitting down when possible is your best bet. Your pants will be the color of the tile when you're finished so dress accordingly.
