The chase and story...

As I mentioned I have a bucket list of cars that have made an impression on me...won't bore you with that

A lady down the street from me has been letting her 1983 sc rot in the sun, so one day as she was picking up her dogs poo off my lawn I came out said hi "I love your car and would you be intersed in selling it and letting me take care of her." She said yes, I spent a few days on it, charged the battery clean the crap off of it, put 10qts in it (yes there was not a drop of oil in it)...spent some time researching what to offer her....finally got it fired up, she ran like a dream, good project over all.....made an offer, next day she calls me and says no go...."I have an emotional attachment to the car..."

Bummed out, I started to look at the cars I have been researching to come up with a price.....good thing I am looking now prices are outta control and climbing...as you know

Wll enough about the prelude

I found this one listed on Porsche excellence mag

Body and interior are fully restored and pristine...( more pics when she gets of the truck).

Motor is high milage 190k (yikes!) but the ppi checked out fine and the gentleman taking care of her has a phone book of receipts. Leak down of 2-5% one was 8%
Slow oil leaks as would be expected, leaves a drop after a hard day..and he is running full synthetic....we'll see what that means....tranny shifts fine in all gears well. Mechanic told me that it grinds from second to first while at a speed of 15-20 mph! (Who the heck would do that, unless you were racing around a track...)

I had started wanting a project car and figured this one has the body and interior in good shape so at the worst I am in for a engine tranny rebuild at some point in the future...lets go for it...

Turns out the motor is taken care of just as we'll as the inside ( she's a bit of a garage queen...)

New hp trifold exhaust
New light weight racing clutch (older gentleman had it and talkin to him, I know he didn't ride her hard and out her away wet)
A rubber seal replaced with guinine part from Germany
New paint
Lowered suspension
New torsion bars
New calipers, cross drilled rotors
Authentic Fuchs
New clutch cable
New tie rods
K &N filter
A/c delete
North Hollywood gauges with LEDs and brushed aluminum rings
New leather seats
New carpets
New radio, don't know what, don't care...it won't be on much...lol
