I had another almost comical conversation with a client yesterday. I felt like exclaiming "who's on first?" at one point.
He wanted the impossible. He wanted a print of the road from one intersection to the next intersection along a section line road. The two intersections are one mile apart. 5280 feet shown on a print at a scale of 1"=100' would be 52.80 inches. To show all of the intersection and a little past the end of the intersection a 60' wide print is perfect. He wanted the detail of 1"=100' but he wanted me to keep the print size down to 32 inches.
I explained it again. We went around that circle a few times. "Who's on first?"
Essentially he wants me to put a gallon in a pint jar. Our supply of magic fairy dust is still on back order. I had to set up the print job program on a 32 inch page and show him he can see any 1/4 of the mile but not all of it in 32 inches. And this dude is an attorney!
