On all our outside doors I replaced the jam material, many years ago with oak and a 1/4 inch thick embedded plate of steel for the dead bolts to latch into. This should prevent anyone short of a gorilla from breaking the door open. I forget the brand of locks and dead bolts but they have held up for well over 20 years.
