Ok, I was able to look over the wiring diagrams and I think I got the answerers.

Boxsters and Boxster S
All cars built before 2004 and early production 2004's have the pin 9 Tach lead
Late 2004 builds and later cars do not. Looks like there was a change mid year.


Caymans
No cars were built with the pin 9 Tach lead.


996-997, Turbo's and GT3
All cars built before 2005 and early production 2005's have the pin 9 Tach lead
Late 2005 builds and Later cars do not.Looks like there was a change mid year.

I will have my Techs look over cars as they come in, Especialy 2004-2005 models and Email you if we note any discrepencies.
