learning thru repetition.

one of things i have to do is check contractor's layouts.

we use a total station. man, i hated that thing. problem was, i never seem to use it enough to become proficient at it. nothing worse than having a bunch of labor and expensive equipment idling, while i am trying to level things, remember what buttons i need to push, etc.

the guys that work for me, all seem to take way longer than i do, so when it is crunch time, i take the helm. you know what? i am getting better and better. no more panicked phone calls to our office expert, or referring to my pocket cheat sheets (which after all these years, is getting quite smudged)

finding all the coordinates is a good time. only time in life i will still use trigonometry. i check all the CAD stuff, by doing the math old school.

"oscar had a heap of apples"

i am nervous about my next 911 valve adjust..i just dont do it enough anymore, since my friends are selling their cars.
repetition is a powerful instructor.
