we use a total station. man, i hated that thing. problem was, i never seem to use it enough to become proficient at it. nothing worse than having a bunch of labor and expensive equipment idling, while i am trying to level things, remember what buttons i need to push, etc.

finding all the coordinates is a good time. only time in life i will still use trigonometry. i check all the CAD stuff, by doing the math old school.
