Well, other interests have taken ahold and I'm putting my baby back up for sale.
For those who don't know about the 1200S, it is a rare and beautiful bike. One of the most powerful boxer engines around and an absolute blast to ride. Google it to find out more.
So here's the good:
- Approx. 28k miles (still riding it once in a while). Bought it at 24k and had it almost two years now.
- Tires in good shape with a relatively new PR2 190/55 on the back.
- Ohlins suspension and 6" rear rim (sport package or whatnot)
- Booster plug installed by Ted's Beemers
- HeliBar risers (looks like about 1 inch up)
- Upgraded Corbin seats (firm, but comfy for me) as well as tank gripper pad set
-
Full Remus titanium exhaust - good lord I put this in bold because it sounds so damn good and looks fantastic. I never wear earplugs when I ride this bike because I love hearing it.
- Wunderlich smoked front turn signals and aftermarket HID setup (not sure of the brand on the HIDs, but they were professionally done and look great).
- BMW sport cases currently mounted (bracket can be removed if desired).
- Bike has never been down. Not any kind of tip over or anything.
The bad:
- The Ohlins could probably use a rebuild. I've held off doing it because I figured if someone bought the bike that would be the perfect time to change springs etc. Currently the suspension is pretty soft.
That's about it.
Bike had its 24k service done at Ted's Beemers right before I bought it (not my first choice, but oh well) and
AFAIK has been garaged its whole life. I will do an annual service on it before sale as it's due so you'll have fresh oil and a filter and will be set for the next 6k miles.
It is still financed, so we would have to work things out with my bank for the transfer (either meet at my bank in SF or fill out a bill of sale for title-less transfer).
Asking
SOLD including the cases (if you don't want the cases, I can sell them separately and lower the price). Bike is in Oakley, CA.
I need to do a photoshoot for it, but for now I have a couple recent pictures to give you an idea.
