Yep it's quite secure and even if you removed it at some point, the two little holes would not be easily visible at all. I don't find the V1 below the mirror to be intrusive and greatly prefer this method over the suction cups.

That said, in one of my other cars I've had a V1 mounted with the stock suction cups up to the right of the mirror and also hardwired. So that's another workable option.
