That said, in one of my other cars I've had a V1 mounted with the stock suction cups up to the right of the mirror and also hardwired. So that's another workable option.

Realized last night as I was about to order the gbracket that it ONLY works on 997 with the auto-dimming mirror. Since I have a 987 with an auto-dimming mirror, I'm out. I went ahead and got the blendmount and got a wiring kit to tap into the homelink power, so I don't even have to hardwire and run around the windshild.
