Actually you can get 330-340 hp out of the L28 without a turbo on it. Quite a few guys have done it. Its not cheep and you you could build twice the car for half the money but it can be done. I have had several (17) 240z's There just my favorite car, always have been. Rebello Racing in Antioch, CA will build you a very hot motor around 250-275hp for 6-7000.00 bucks. I'm a Weber dealer and sell lots of triple carb kits to datsun guys chasing hp. Here is a picture of my 71 Fairlady Z and the rust free parts car that will donate its sheet metal to the Fairlady.
