Hi Peter!
Regular zinc or bright cad-plated nuts should be fine for *general* applications. The nylon insert locknuts that Porsche uses, seem to be of a quality that resists heat better than other common ones. You can buy those from a dealer. I wouldn't use SS fasteners anywhere. Where corrosion is a problem, use some Nevr-Seez or copper grease.
