OK, got and installed my "blendmount" tonight. Much better than the suction cup method. It's not quite flush with the bottom of the mirror. I could probably get a finger in between which is good in case I ever want to take the detector down. And since it's under the mirror, it is easier to hit the button for mute or change the volume. I'll know for sure tomorrow when I drive the car. I also got a "wiretap" sold by the same folks which is a small wire with a built in fuse that I can use to tap into the homelink to power the detector so I don't have to run a cable down to the fuse box. I can't wait to wire it up. For now, I just have a wire hanging down.
