Today I installed my hubs, rotors, and calipers. Before I could install the hub I had to remove the old tie rod ends to make way for my new ones. They make tools for removing them, but I don't have one, so I used my trusty hacksaw to cut them off.

After that I bolted it up to the strut and lifted the control arm into place. That's when I realized these struts were way too short. They were so short that the brake dust shield was rubbing on the end of the control arm. That's when I realized I had the camber/caster plates on the wrong side of the fender.... They should go on under it like this:

That gave me an extra 2 inches or so of room. Once that was settled I put on my rotors and calipers.

Is there a special tool I need to install my new tie rod ends? I can't figure out how I'm supposed to install these things. There's no way to hold the bolt while I tighten the nut so it just spins.
