For those of you that have been on this board for awhile you will probably remember the passing of Warren Hall (Early S Man). He was one of the original members of this board and he helped so many of us. Warren had cystic fibrosis and in December 2007 he was in the hospital hoping for a lung transplant. Unfortunately both Warren and his sister had no money left. That is when Mark Wilson reached out to the 911 Tech Board members for their help. In just a matter of days the members contributed over $30,000! However, it was too late to help and Warren died while the contributions were still coming in. It was the consensus of the contributors that the money be used to pay for Warren's funeral and the remainder to be contributed to a worthy cause as Mark Wilson and I saw fit. We paid off the funeral expenses and also made a donation in Warren's name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. However we held some money back not sure of what would be a suitable contribution for the rest of the money.
We have found a worthy cause. The remaining money will be donated to help the daughter of a board member who also is afflicted with cystic fibrosis. Her name is Elissa Hase and you can read about her here:

While Early S Man is no longer with us, our love for him has given us the chance to help someone else. Thanks to all of the members that contributed to Warren and also to Elissa.
