My $500 Honda 350 Scrambler Restoration

Back in June I purchased the Scrambler from a guy for $500. It was in sad shape and only ran on one cylinder. However, all the parts were there, including the hard to find/expensive exhaust. I took it home with the plan to use as many used parts as I could to fix it up for a nice about town/forest road bike. Fortunately 98% of the parts are readily available both new and used and are fairly inexpensive. For example a new seat cover set me back all of $64.00; used gauges off of ebay: $34.00 shipped! I never planned for this to be a concourse restoration, but just a nice 5 footer. Total investment is $1200.00 (including purchase price). Here's the before:

Home on the trailer:

Yes it really has been sitting around since 1993!

The bike spent most of its life in Arizona and it shows:

No idea what happened to the gauges. Neither of them worked and had to be replaced. Wrong handle bars too.

This was a fun bike to work on. Nothing insurmountable. All work done by yours truly. By the way that paint job was done with off the shelf Acura paint color spray bomb! Total cost about $20.00!
