It really has some torque to it. I also have a '76 Honda 400SS which is a four cylinder. You really need to keep the revs up on it and also be shifting a lot. The Scrambler has enough grunt to just leave it in 4th most of the time.

I hear you; had a '76 KZ400 twin (before Kawasaki transitioned to 4 cylinders in 1980). Gobs of torque for such a small & relatively light bike.
