ISIS, ISIL, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Muslim terrorists, comets hitting the earth? The "boogymen" change from decade to decade as we humans seem to swerve from one crisis to the next.
But in the end - it won't be rising sea levels, lack of fresh water, climate change, or nuclear weapons that destroy humankind. We won't need spy satellites, a pair of binoculars, boots on the ground, etc.
I think the 'last man standing' will be observing the cause of our ultimate demise ...through the lens of a microscope!
