The 05 and up cars use a small plastic nipple on the interior door handle which sticks into a small hole right behind the door handle. .... This nipple presses a small plastic button to tell the window module that the lever is pulled which drops the window to open.
2 things happen here. ...the door handle isn't properly hitting the button, either the button (which is part of the window switch) is deformed, or the hinge plate for the handle is cracked and mis-aligning the handle.....
