I'm not convinced on the half-ton diesel excitement. Where I live diesel is costlier than gas and the mileage on the new Ram 1500 diesel is good but not great compared to modern V8s with cylinder deactivation, VVT, etc. If I were doing a lot of towing I'd want a 2500 or 3500 anyhow so the only reason to get a 1500 diesel is fuel economy but I don't think the savings add up... Thoughts?
