We have been to Honolulu a few times when our son was young, coming home from US.
He liked the Pearl Harbour cruise and the Polynesian Cultural Centre.
One thing that surprised us was the beach water temperature in their winter, we found it quite cold to swim in Feb. Maybe check somewhere that it isnt a lot colder than your used to in Qid.
