Vietnam War — From 1963-1973: A list of 62 enlisted men who were commissioned includes one man who was killed before he could accept his commission.
I also found this: "On the ground, 2,709,918 Americans served and fought in Vietnam. Of the 2,709,918 Americans who served in Vietnam, less than 850,000 are estimated to be alive today, with the youngest American Vietnam veteran's age approximated to be 54 years old."
It is remarkable, I'd say, that there are two Viet Nam battlefield commissioned men on this board. Maybe more?
