Did you ever figure this out? I'm in the exact same dilemma on my 911sc.
At first the golden metal prongs in the housing weren't fully touching the bulbs but I gave them a little pull with a tiny hex key. That fixed the bulbs but now when my headlights are on and I press the brake, the passenger light goes out.
