To match the alternator length measurements in the table, measure from the end of the shaft to the back mount face on the alternator.
It sounds like you did this and determined you have a 70 or 75 amp alternator. The fan shroud part numbers are not stamped on the shroud. The numbers on the shroud are the casting numbers and these are the same for all the shrouds from '69-'77. The shrouds for the larger alternator used on the '75-'77 engines have an approximately 10 mm deeper cut for the alternator mount flange to accommodate the 70-75 amp alternator. This is the one you need.
