A big, big "+1". Under mortal threat, one should endeavor to have as few things to do, as few things to remember as possible. Sometimes I think those highlighting all of the safeguards they have in place care more about appearing "responsible" to the overly critical, politically correct set than they care about their actual ability to defend themselves. Myself, I would rather have the ability to save my life or the lives of my loved ones with a readily accessible firearm than appease the hand-wringing ninnies who would be appalled with how I choose to store that firearm.
