+1 Although most of my defense spoons are conventional DA/SA. I do keep them chambered but with the safety on. Been thinking about keeping my Sig239 in the 'box' as it has a decocker vs. safety. The only issue is it only holds 7 + 1 vs. the S&W 4006 is 11 + 1. But yes, even at the range playing, trying to flip the safety and getting a shot off can prove clumsy let alone in a life threatening situation.
