That said, we use scopes or peep/aperture sights since we use our long spoons for hunting. The airsoft use battery powered reflex but you can still use iron for a backup. If I were Joe, I would just replace the battery when I did the smoke detectors.

the newer red dots are pretty impressive. The shortest battery life I've heard of for the aimpoint T1 is 3 years at maximum brightness constantly....typical is supposed to be around 5. My comp m2 blew through a $10 battery on ~8 months, constant on at about setting 7 of 9
