FS - 911 SC Engines x2

1978 Porsche SC 3.0L Engine: Removed a couple of months ago from car. Weber 40IDA 3C running 34mm Venturis. Spare set of 36mm Venturis and jets, air corrections and gaskets not used on a rebuild. MSD ignition, Stainless steel custom headers (no heat), modified free flow muffler, also collectors to fit standard two in Porsche muffler. Worn clutch, but still has life. Starter motor. Webers has a vacuum hose for assisted braking. Hardi fuel pump, but also PMO fuel regulator. Smoked on start up if left for a while (exhaust valve guides?), but cleared once warmed up. Plenty of power, nice throttle response and great sound. This is all ready to bolt straight up and run.

1980 Porsche SC 3.0L Engine: Japan spec engine. Mileage 128,000kms. New seals from the barrels up on right hand side. Nikasel barrels. New seals apart from Cam to housing and barrels on left hand side, but new seals included. Air box had Pop off valve and has been plastic welded as it had been split by a previous owner. New seals on fuel distributor. Motor ran good, but was having hot starting problems. Haven't tested since fixing the problems found on the CIS. Has one broken exhaust stud (flush with factory flange, but fits custom headers). I have included an uninstalled stud. I would say that this engine has had broken headstuds in the past as two heads are not the same batch number and 993 type exhaust side head studs were installed.

Reasons for selling: Original plan was to swap heads and carb's from 78' to 80' (larger intakes on 78' but better oil pump on 80'). But obtained a 3.2 Carrera engine part way through 80' tear down. Hence new seals on half the engine. Was running the 78' till I was ready to take the heads off and have them rebuilt, polished, etc etc...

Payment through Paypal. $13,000 New Zealand Dollars + Shipping.
