Hi,nice car to restore.im planning to restore a 3 liter sc later on down the road. for your paint code,was your car built in the fall of 77. some cars might have had that color code carried over into 78 before it completely discontinued. your car could have gaurds red & the old paint code.for the most part paint codes are usually correct to the color on the car. but there are times when they're wrong . don't fuss,go with the red you like better.
