So I pulled this out last weekend to shoot some photos and here is what needs to be welded. Again I have all parts. All the pretty common areas.
Front cowl - One corner is in place, the other I have the piece from restoration design. the front lip is rough but I also have a complete donor cowl provided.
Rear lower window corners - not major, some rust through, have both corners from restoration design.
Top of dash above left hand gauge has water damage. not pictured
front pedal cluster area - cleanly cut out, have complete new front half floor pan. either cut out a piece or replace entire front half.
Both rear floor corners have minor damage but need some work
Both jacking points have been almost completely replaced, but a patch panel or two is needed to wrap it up.
The only area i was undecided on was the tunnel. There is some rust on parts where it joins the floor. I was undecided on whether to replace the tunnel, of which i have complete donor to include or to patch up with some angle bracket pieces.
Again a good project I want to be completely open about because I will most likely be watching your project and hearing from you here on Pelican if I was not honest. It needs some work but I would assume 4 solid weekends worth of welding and grinding would get you in a good place with it. Coupes are getting harder and harder to find, I just have too many projects going on with four kids and owning a business that has nothing to do with my hobby.
Happy to give a quick welding lesson if need be when you come pick it up
