Yep. The Bruins look pitiful this year. They had to let go their only top scorer: Iguana. They trade away a solid, long term, strong contributor: Boychuk. They trade away their only real enforcer who watched everybody's back: Thornton.
The only bright spot to losing to our most hated nemisis the Habs, is that we scored a bunch of goals. Also, as with the previous game against Detroit, we are looking far more healthy in the offense dept. If it weren't for Howard having an awesome night (he is so inconsistent) it would have been a blowout.
The only way we are going to have a strong season is if Rask plays to the level he's being paid. In the past (not so far this year) he's been a strong goalie but I just don't think that he's all that and a bag of chips. Part of his past numbers have been because of Seidenberg, Chara, etc. Consistent is good but to support a team with holes in it we will need consistent and miraculous highlight reel saves.
No doubt, the Brooklyners (I mean Islanders) are looking good.
