Found some time today to replace the driver's side window regulator. Sadly, when I opened the box containing what was described as a 'very good' condition used-part, I discovered that the point of contact between the motor and the regulator was broken and, in fact, missing chunks of metal. Luckily the motor worked so it was a quick substitution and all was well. And while the ultimate cost to me was not all that much I must say it was a clear case of caveat emptor.
