Welcome to the forum. I appreciate your opening this discussion, but I'd still like to know in a bit more detail, what you consider "damage" and what you consider a good price. As I've stated above I'm not in the business, but I do know a bit about Porsches.
It's tough for me because I really enjoy driving my cars, not collecting them. As far as modifications affecting a cars value, how do you explain Magnus Walker? Even the factory loves him. I agree there are quite a few butchered cars out there, but ever since the 356, ownershave been improving performance of their Porsches for decades. It's only very recently that "originality" became a big issue. Mostly in the people who now look at old Porsches as an investment.
How many of these old cars have you driven or owned? What do you look for in a car? Will you be driving it or storing it?
I'm not insulting you, I just want to learn a bit about what the market is looking for. I'm not very enthusiastic about spending money on being slower or less roadworthy. Especially if I don't know what a prospective purchaser is looking for.
Just dying to learn here.
