In SoCal that car was cheaper than you would think. They are piled up like cord wood in back lots everywhere. Why? What offense did they commit? They didn't pass smog or they had a chain jump. Easy fix for Mangus' mechanic.
It isn't at all surprising that he's turned a bit of attention to shorthood cars. Let's see.....a rusted out '71 for $35,000.00, or an also ran 3,0 that needs a regrind for $5,200.00? Not a hard decision.
