My opinion is let the car get repaired and if you feel the value of the car has been diminished look at your options. Why does it have less value? Did the shop do poor work? Well then ask the shop to redo the work. If it's the paperwork you better do your homework or you wasting your time. Try to trade the car in. Do they offer less? The burden to prove a loss is on you.
