LEOs here (in San Diego) are mostly still using Radar. When I get a laser hit it is usually from the collision avoidance/cruise control system fitted to newer cars.

I thought the collision avoidance/cruise control systems used K band radar. That's the alarms I get all the time on the Interstate now.
