The VH1 Win a Corvette from every year contest. The guy who won the contest, electrician from LI IIRC, sold the cars to Peter Max for an art project that never materialized so the cars have sat and been shuffled around various NYC parking garages for years.
The whole lot was recently sold at auction and the valuable ones are being restored.
I'm friends with Jim Cahill, the guy who put the whole thing together. He is a huge Corvette enthusiast.
