You probably could. People do it to all sorts of wheels.

Does it make a good wheel? That is up for argument.

IMO, not worth it, especially with an old cast wheel that may already be fatigued.

Consider some Speedline, Kinesis or Techart multipiece 'Cup' wheels.






The last are Techart Daytona wheels - and use a center styled after the 17" Cup2. Might be what you're looking for?

Any of the above are very likely going to be cheaper than a custom multipiece wheel.
