My fireplace has them slots in the brick on either side and a switch on the wall next to the fireplace. If I flip the switch air comes out the slots. There is also a wall switch in my living room that doesn't turn anything on or off I can find. Have tried tuning it on and off rapidly then going outside to listen for a neighbor cursing.

So...If yo gas fireplace has a remote, can ya light an control it wid no lectricity? Here in the trailer park we just put on o them trash drums in the middle of the livin room an burn stuff.
